For Immediate Release to All Members Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition endorses Tim Cahill for Governor The Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition is proud to announce the endorsement of Treasurer Tim Cahill as the next Governor of Massachusetts. The membership of the MMPC had recently voted unanimously to endorse Treasurer Tim Cahill for Governor of Massachusetts. On July 15, 2010 representatives of the MMPC met with Treasurer Cahill and formally endorsed his campaign. Standing before the Medford Veteran's Memorial, MMPC President Harold MacGilvray stated, "the Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition is proud to announce the endorsement of Treasurer Tim Cahill as the next Governor of Massachusetts. His commitment to Law Enforcement will allow our officers the appropriate assets and capabilities to ensure the continued protection of our state." Treasurer Cahill, speaking to our members and the public-at-large, responded to the endorsement saying, "I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition. The men and women of law enforcement risk their own lives every single day for the safety of others. As Governor, I will return the strong commitment that they show to us, the people of Massachusetts, ensuring that they possess the resources necessary to protect the Commonwealth."
